We like to play board games. You probably do too if you’re reading this. Whip out a board game and you have an instant way to connect with people, use your mind or imagination, have some friendly competition, good conversation, or lots of laughter. It’s just plain - not boring - fun!

Have you ever tried to take board games anywhere?

We have! More times than we can count. Our precious board games have been through the wringer on road trips, tiny living in a camper for a while, going to a friend’s for game night, or even just when the kids get into them on the shelf. Our boxes are dented or held together with tape, some of the manuals are ripped or wrinkled, and occasionally we find ourselves missing a piece. But that’s the price you pay to actually use your games, right? We always found ourselves caught in this tension: keep our games pristine like the collection they are, or take them everywhere to maximize our fun and play them more often.

“Why couldn’t we have both?” we thought. So we decided to do something about it! Choosing both meant we needed some objectives to keep us on track.

Save Space, Organize, and Protect your board games

After one and a half years, we are pleased to introduce the Explorer Series Board Game Bags which accomplish all three objectives!

How'd we do it?

  • Save Space. Downsizing is key; by removing games from their boxes, the space savings is enormous!

  • Protect. Ballistic Nylon, EVA, the bag's internal frame, and rubber bumpers, all contribute to a top of the line protection status for your games.

  • Organize. Three fully separated compartments, each having their own pockets, dividers, elastic, and labels help organize even the most complex array of games.

So Many Games

Q: So how many games do they really hold??

A: A ridiculous number of games!

This has to be the main thing we love about the Explorer Series Board Game Bags! They hold a ridiculous number of games! How many exactly? Games vary greatly in terms of the sq. in. of used space, and it varies even more depending on how you prefer to pack it. To get the best idea, you should take a close look at these photos below. We packed the bags how we would actually, comfortably pack our games. We did not cram it full for good looks - we promise. The stack of boxes behind each bag is actually what is nicely organized inside each. (*Not pictured: The Foothills Bag also includes Hive, 3 decks of cards, and Dutch Blitz. The Boulder Bag also includes Skip Bo and 1 deck of cards.) It’s approximately 6-12 games in the Boulder and 10-18 games in the Foothills.

WATER RESISTANT BALLISTIC NYLON

Key Features Balistic Nylon

The Explorer Series is made for just that, exploring - actually putting the bags to use. We have sourced the highest quality materials to put behind our brand. Ballistic Nylon has been specifically engineered for unrivaled tear and abrasion resistance. It was created during WWII for use in military uniforms and is now found in many applications where the demand is tough. Also, it’s the material used in protective chainsaw chaps, which should speak for itself. It’s tough stuff!
